This is a really good point. White feminism/white queer culture/other minorities often do not stand up enough for Black rights and it’s a huge issue. I don’t actually believe that all protests should be “peaceful” and I’m long over holding hands. But I do think it’s not a lost cause to convert many ex-Republicans and Trump supporters to the light side. A lot of people have never met minorities and I remember changing people’s minds by existing. It’s not great and it’s not fair, but it does help. (I am awfully tired of it, though. I don’t like spending weekends justifying my existence.)
