This is a really good point and I do think there are some brides who are like this. But honestly, the vast majority of brides who are accused of being like this when they are not is far too high. There is this insistence on women, especially brides, being conciliatory and "lady-like," whereas men would totally get away with being picky about the exact shade of black in their gaming cave.

I've literally never heard of a single one of my female friends--even the more type A, perfectionist ones--to demand gifts, free stuff, or even particular outfits outside of the bridesmaids. They were still called bridezillas, sometimes jokingly and sometimes not, for worrying about the flavor of cake or the art on the walls.
