Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! To answer your question I can and do feel attraction, but there’s a huge asexual spectrum from nothing to only once you fall in love, etc. As I can fall in love without being sexually attracted to someone (and did), I have learned to recognize that elusive difference between loving someone and being in love with them.

As for my partner’s reaction, he’s asexual too ;).
