Such a good point. “Intrinsic” versus “a problem.” I agree. EVERY community has homophobia and we are all trying to deal with it. There’s no reason to claim it’s any more intrinsic to minorities than to white people.

I for one have worked on Black rights and criminal justice reform for a long, long time, way before it was woke. (Way before it was okay to criticize the police, actually.) It has been interesting to see how the narrative has been changing. Sometimes bad, sometimes good. I hope we at least continue to talk about these issues and don’t go back to sweeping them under rugs.
