I totally understand what you’re saying. So, yes, they do like the Greek-based astrology, but they talk about it in relation to its impact on life in a way that often includes Hindu spirituality, chakras, souls, and more. Based on what my friends who believe in it talk about, I genuinely think the interest in it is irrevocably tied to a rise in “Eastern mysticism,” not a return to Greek roots. I also spent time in Berkeley, California, where astrology is very popular and specifically very tired to Hindu art, designs, beliefs, etc., even though the astrology part itself is based on months.
