France is extremely racist. I've been to Paris multiple times and it's been quite awful every single one of them. My husband and I had the cops called on us just this last visit because we looked Muslim and were suspected of breaking into our AirB&B. Later, Air France denied us and a Black passenger boarding.

I'm so sorry for what happened to you. Personally, I'd never spend much time in France again.
