Excellent piece. To me, these are so obvious I was actually hoping you'd talk about some of the even more subtle things I notice when people are being racist to me (I'm Indian) or to my Black friends. It's SOOO obvious just in how people treat you at restaurants or if they smile at you or how they talk about music or culture at all.

Kudos for your bravery in writing this piece. I can't believe how many disgusting and racist comments there are. I have great racist-dar, born of experience. It's nice to read someone try to put it into words.
