Besides the fact that there is so much underlying racism in this comment (accusing Black Americans of a "trick" for not wanting derogatory language to be used against them, etc.), "Oriental" is still extremely insulting and inaccurate.

As I mentioned, there are people who "look like that" who are natively from Kazakhstan, India, and many other countries you don't consider "East Asian." Also, South East Asian people look quite different from East Asian people. And it still becomes deeply unclear what we want to call North Indians, South Indians, and others from the subcontinent--although given your 1800's mentality, I'm guessing you'd propose "Hindoo"?

To be very clear, though, it's not just that those terms were racist. It's that they were/are INACCURATE.
