Apparently, I am the only person on here who doesn't agree with this. I can and should write about it at length sometime, but race and gender discrimination are not even vaguely the same thing and there are lots of reasons why someone might not want to date a woman that doesn't come from sexism while there are few to no reasons that someone would blanketly not want to date "Black people" unless they're racist.

What's actually happening here is that dating is a place in which we allow gender discrimination (if you look up the law, there are plenty of places the law allows gender discrimination). Why? Because biology is biology and it matters to some people, for their sexuality and their procreation. People without penises aren't going to use urinals.

But race discrimination has to meet strict scrutiny standards. And just say "no Black people could possibly meet my requirements, whatever they are," is NOT okay. Saying you're just not attracted to dark skin or every Black culture out there is a huge problem with huge societal consequences.

Saying you're not attracted to penises is also discriminatory, but as society we have declared it okay, and it causes fewer societal ramifications and the subordination of an entire class of people.

I scrolled and scrolled and the vast majority of the comments supporting this piece are from only white people. That might tell you something.

(Anyway, if you're asking someone really radical like me, I don't think you should discriminate on gender either.)
