A Sonnet of Rats Who Drive

Even with rats, learning new things can increase happiness.

You shouldn’t trust this, that’s the caveat.
As always, you should hold your judgment, wait.
But what they found is not the point this time.
It doesn’t matter if it replicates.

They say that it can help anxiety
To learn new skills, improve and lessen flaws.
The part that all the viewers came to see
Is testing it with rats in tiny cars.

The rodents have the time of tiny lives
And outdo hamsters in their rolling orbs
While researchers observe the rats that drive
And solemnly declare them “totes adorbs.”

And though these drivers may be furred and cute
They’re better than the ones on my commute.
